Motivation: How to Start and Stay Motivated

Often we make mistakes and do not lose motivation. We do not lose motivation in this process. Something else is going on. We use loss of motivation to explain what we are facing in general, but it's not about motivation. In this article, I'll share three basic reasons and tricks for how you can stay motivated throughout the process of achieving your goal without straining yourself for discipline.

1. What does it actually mean to lose motivation:

Distractions – easily distracted by other tasks or priorities.

There are hundreds of things that happen in our daily lives – bills that have to be paid. What to eat at breakfast? What's at lunch? Dinner? How are we going to go to the office? When will we wake up? Which pen do you use? Will we respond to this email today or can't we wait until tomorrow? Oh, we haven't responded to the family's letter yet! Where to plan a holiday? What is our budget? How can I make more money? Has the YouTube channel I follow released new content? If so, I need to check it out. Let me also check out our instant Instagram on Facebook, dozens of social media platforms, and other news to stay informed. How is the stock market today? Do I lose money or make money from my investment? What should I invest next?

Oh, wait. Do I have any savings left this month? What should I get for my boyfriend's birthday this month? How is the relationship going? Disagreement over who washes dishes? Am I drinking enough water today? Oh my God, I missed today's meditation again. We are very easily distracted by other tasks or priorities. We don't lose motivation. We were just distracted and shifted from doing what we really wanted to do and accomplish to those diverse things, everyday thinking, and things that appear in life. When our attention turns, we no longer focus on our goal and this weakens our goal and our energy towards the goal. It's like we're no longer as motivated as we used to be. But in reality, it's just a shift in attention. If we shift our attention back from all those things that have appeared in life to our goal - there you will find motivation and get back on track again.

2. Losing motivation actually means having no one to hold you accountable for your progress.

The time will come when the sky will be gray and you don't really feel like doing what you have to do. It's not really a motivation issue. It's a trick our brain plays on us to imagine that things are harder than they are so that we can risk less for a greater chance of survival. Our brain is designed to survive. He is trying to warn us of the potential dangers there. So we tend to imagine the worst thing that can happen more than the good sides. When we have those negative aspects, the danger is at the back of our head. It can come out like "We don't want to do it", "We don't feel like it".

This is only because our brain imagines the bad. And if there's no one else to hold us accountable, we might easily come up with the suggestion that "well, no one knows if I'm missing a day or two, I need to rest anyway." This is the reasonably we come up with to explain why we don't want to do this. Everything goes the wrong way... That's why we need someone else to hold us accountable. It may simply be about our friends or family that we will do it every day. If we were now going to pay them $100 a day, they would probably be more than happy to charge you. And now you have someone who reminds you – this breaks the risk visualization pattern in the brain and therefore you will be more likely to get out of the "whatever it doesn't matter much" spiral.

3. What it really means to lose motivation is negative self-talk - engaging in self-doubt or negative thoughts about achieving the goal.

Self-doubt, negative self-talk like "I'm not sure if I can do this." "I've never achieved anything before." "I've Failed Before" is one of the big dream killers. We shouldn't talk about it so that they can influence us, as long as we think that way. Note that we don't lose motivation, because we still want to achieve our goal. It's just a matter of faith – whether we think we can and here negative self-talk tries to convince us to abandon the process. Either we think we can or we don't think we can. When we are one hundred percent committed to believing that we can, the rest of the cases below do not really believe that we can. It doesn't matter what our experience is, or what our past is.

The past is irrelevant as far as it comes to creating the future. Otherwise, those who go bankrupt will not be able to become millionaires or even billionaires. Faith has no cost any free. If you believe in yourself that you can, it's free. If you think you can't, it will cost costs, time, resources and efforts. As Henry Ford said, "Either you believe in yourself that you can, it's free." You can or you can't, and either way you're right.

Then why not believe in yourself?

Brainwash from this moment of day that you can definitely do what you plan to do one hundred percent.

Tell yourself that you are a witch or witch and that you can do anything and have anything you want in this life. When you find yourself doubting yourself, remind yourself that believing in yourself is free and that not trusting yourself will cost you millions and billions of dollars. The choice is yours!
