Lebanon has gone through many difficulties and despite this, it always strives to stand out from others, and this is what we find in its construction of the Sama Beirut skyscraper. Sama Beirut is the tallest building in Beirut and Lebanon In addition, its strategic location in Achrafieh, a few minutes from the center of Beirut, makes it the focus of attention to live or invest in, and it also offers its residents a view of the sea and mountain views, and the city's lively streets. Therefore, it is our duty to get to know this unique building.

Fadi Antonios is the CEO and Chairman of the National Food Products Company and the owner of Antonios Projects, owner of Sama Beirut and developer of the project. Fadi Antonios Sama built Beirut because of his nostalgia for his country, where he said: "I was always nostalgic to return, or at least invest in Lebanon, because of my great faith in this country, which has suffered a lot." He also said: "I recently saw that the diaspora is increasing in Lebanon, and that young people are leaving the homeland in search of work abroad, so I felt a desire to take a decision that restores hope, even a simple one, to the youth of this dear country, to say in my own way that there is still hope in Lebanon." Prime Consult also marketed the company and ERGA Group for the engineering design of the building.

Completed in 2017, Sama Beirut is 193 meters above ground level and 256 meters above sea level with 50 floors. There are seven basements used as warehouses, parking lots, mechanical rooms, a hall for drivers and other multi-purpose spaces. Moreover, in the lower floors there is a modern health club with an area of about 1000 square meters, dedicated only to apartment owners. Then we go up to the ground floor where we find shops with modern and beautiful architecture that are in line with the architecture of the building.
In addition, we find that from the second to the eighth floors are offices, including offices for the sale of apartments in Sama Beirut, which start from the tenth floor to the last floor, as it includes 81 apartments ranging in size from 194 square meters to 1414 square meters with a wonderful view of the most beautiful views. Sama Beirut's built-up area occupies only 1,050 square meters of his 5,200 square meters of real estate area, with the rest of this space allocated to green gardens.
Prime Consult Chairman Massad Fares explained that the project's designers "preferred the option of rising vertically to the option of expanding horizontally." He added: "The designers were keen not to further turn Beirut into a cement forest and a block of monolithic and adjacent buildings, and instead of erecting six buildings on this property, they chose to build a tower in the middle of gardens with an area of 4,000 square meters." Engineer Elie Gebrayel also said, "The goal was to provide a green outlet around the project, rather than constructing a complex of several buildings that reduce the green area in the city. Indeed, the built-up area will be limited to only 20 percent of the property, which will provide a large share of gardens and cultivated areas.
The manufacturer of Sama Beirut has taken care of the safety of those in it, for example:
1- Fire suppression system: This system is designed according to the relevant American codes of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) where the following are available:
Fire Suppression Hoses
Landing valves
All this over the entire area of the tower, in addition to equipping the building with a network of sprinklers to fight fires. Moreover, there is a special elevator for the fire team and the residential section of the building is equipped with two ladders to escape the fires.
2- Rainwater collection and treatment: This is a prelude to reuse it for flushing toilets, irrigation and cooling towers. In addition to carrying out an effective stormwater drainage system, only a small part of it flows into Beirut's stormwater drainage network.
3- Equipped sewers: These sewers are equipped with a two-pipe system through which gray water is collected and treated in preparation for reuse for flushing toilets, irrigation and cooling towers. Therefore, there is no problem with the sewage system as black water alone flows into the civil sewage system.
