Tanzanite is one of the rarest stones in the world and you must have noticed its name derived from the name of the country of Tanzania and it is the source of the stone. The field from which the stone is extracted is located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its purple-blue color comes from the intense heat of lava.
